HOW DEEP INTO THE PLAYOFFS WILL THE O'S ACTUALLY GO?

All of my baseball loving life I've never seen the Baltimore Orioles this good. The 2012 & 2014 teams were damn good but this is a different feeling with this team man. They have been in a bit of a slump as of right now but they've also been facing playoff teams in 13 of the last 14 series. Including the Astros, Dodgers, Padres, Rays, Blue Jays, and Mariners. Had some struggles throughout the series but all in all they held they're own and won a handful of those series. After blowing out the Athletics in all three games they are now aiming to go on a nice run. Hopefully these young hitters can find some consistency and take some of the load off of Mountcastle who is on a tear as of late. If Cowser and Westberg can start contributing more I feel the World Series is achievable but with the inconsistency in the offense I don't know if its in they're reach. Also am I the only one that doesn't need to see Matteo in the line-up again? Lets give Joey Ortiz a shot, he's excellent in the field and I'd put money on him hitting .050 points higher on his batting average. I'm sick of seeing Matteo come up short every at bat. They're non competitive at bats usually 3 or 4 pitches. He's got a great glove, ok arm and fantastic speed. He plays hard and is a solid player but is he jamming up the pipeline for one of these younger guys coming up and contributing? I just have a feeling he's going to be the one who lets us down in the play-offs when we need a clutch hit or some sort of production in the 9 hole. Luckily we get to say that rarely used word play-offs in Baltimore. At the beginning of the season I would've never predicted them having the 2nd best record in baseball so all this nitpicking I've got it almost sounds like penthouse problems. But when you have better or equal talent to the Astros and Dodgers you tend to get a little greedy. I know I'm not the only one intrigued on the option to bring up Ortiz or potentially Mayo. At the end of this year I can almost guarantee the Orioles make it to the ALCS but surpassing the Astros or Rangers might be to steep of a task. It's going to be a very fun postseason and the O's are definitely a scary team. #InHydeWeTrust
