MIKE'S LAST DANCE WITH OHTANI

Growing up I was blessed to watch Mike Trout tear through the MLB like its a Men's softball league and slowly reach this point where he can't stay on the field. He's having a good season so far but the best ability is availability and he just can stay healthy. The Angels are just one of those teams where they pay the old veteran players and they get injured which a vicious cycle. They've always been underwhelming and never live up to their payroll. Can't find pitching and got into a bad contract with Anthony Rendon the Angels are just always a step behind. It's a shame The Great Mike Trout has made the play-offs in 1 out of 12 seasons with the club. Now with one all-time great's prime wasted we move to another one that happens to be a unicorn pitcher/DH. Luckily for Ohtani he gets to decide at the end of the season whether or not he wants to continue with the Angels. There's been reports on how much he loves the west coast and where he's at but I'm not buying it. Sure he might prefer where he's at geographically speaking but his hearts in it to win it. He's a great competitor who is going to want more than to win MVP's on a team that can't make the play-offs. I mean who wouldn't want a chance at a World Series because in a sense where ever he goes he's going to make them that contender. Imagine if he went to the O's or potentially one of the New York teams. God forbid its Boston. Now I don't know if either New York team could afford him but I guarantee whatever team he goes to, they will back the Brinks truck right up to his house and they will be one of the current play-off teams. Marlins could be a dark horse in this race. If you really think about it there's no way he stays and I know this blog was supposed to be about Mike Trout's chances on keeping Ohtani in LA. But honestly it really should be how the Angels have no chance on keeping Ohtani.
