NFL WEEK 2 PICKS

Well week one of the 2023 NFL season was quite the roller coaster from the defending champs loosing to Detroit. To the season ending torn achilles suffered by the ayahuasca enlightened Aaron Rodgers. It's a shame the Jet's season is over. With no Rodgers they have no shot. Now Aaron Rodgers was not the only injury that occurred this weekend we had Baltimore's runningback J.K Dobbins and they're safety Marcus Williams. Like Rodgers, Dobbins tore his achilles so he will be out for the season but Williams suffered a torn pec. John Harbaugh said it may not be season ending which is good news for the Ravens who have a very depleted secondary. Those three injuries were some of the worst that came out of week one but they weren't the only injuries that occurred. There were alot of soft tissue injuries that will keep some stars off the field and it's starting to make me wonder if this is going to become a trend. All in all football is back and it's going to be a very interesting season.
Vikings @ Eagles

With the Eagles almost choking they're nice start to the first game of their season it leaves me to think they will be wanting to make a statement. This roster is absolutely stacked and it's going to be hard to put one in the loss column against this team. Especially if your quarterback is Kirk Cousins. Cousins is not a bad quarterback now but to say he's going to go out and win a game versus a superbowl contender I think not. I like what the Vikings have going on with their offense but they're defense is pretty sus. With the power house of an offense the Eagles bring into the game this will in a sense make the game manager Cousins to have to make some plays. As we seen in the playoffs and really any prime time game Kirk tends to pee down his leg. Either checks it down or throws it into double or triple coverage. Give me the Eagles and 6.5 points. Hurts may have one of those MVP type games.
Ravens @ Bengals
A tale of two teams where one had a lot of missed opportunities but still won handily and a team that got embarrassed by a divisional foe. Burrow ended up getting "benched" in the fourth quarter with the game well out of reach. Ended with 82 yard passing going 14 for 31 with his throws. Now people will say it's going to be a bounce back game for him with some nice sunny weather for game time. But I'd say he's poised for an even worse game with this Ravens defense playing great and a potential addition of they're all-pro corner Marlon Humphrey coming back from his foot injury. They looked fast and fluent with both Smith and Queen blanketing both hash marks of the field. With the defense flowing like they are the offense is ready to break through and correct some of they're woes from last week. Unfortunately they could be down a few offensive linemen. If they can get Lamar some time in the pocket this game could get out of hand. I'm going to take the Ravens straight up.
Raiders @ Bills
I thought another injury prone qb was down for the account in the first quarter of the Raiders game with Jimmy G but he ended up getting up and playing the rest of the game. Jimmy had a decent game against the Broncos sturdy defense. But this Bills defense is going to be a different animal. The defense alone will win this game but I have a feeling Josh Allen is pissed off and wants to put up thirty points on this shady Raiders defense. The Bills moneyline looks good to me. Wouldn't take a spread over seven points.
Chiefs @ Jags
Very tough game, both teams will be in the playoffs and could be potential going at it in the later rounds. If Kelce ends up playing this might be a good spot to take the Chiefs straight up but if he is out I'm going with the Jags +4. The more I think about this game the more I like the Jags.
Chargers @ Titans

Justin Herbert is the real deal guys just in case you didn't know. He had a very good game against the Dolphins even though they came up short. It looks like Kellen Moore is starting to cook something up in LA and it's going to be keeping opposing defensive coordinators awake at night. I'm going to go with the Chargers just because the Titans won't be able to keep up with their scoring. Now the Titans will throw up some points dormant Chargers defense. Might be a close game but I can't imagine the Titans pulling this off.
Packers vs Falcons
I'm going with Green Bay in this match up it's definitely not a bet I'd double up but I think the Packers will be able to pull this off. Jordan Love looked legit and if they can get half way healthy they should be able get the W.
Seahawks @ Lions
With the Lions riding high off their opening night win against the Kansas City Chiefs. Defense wasn't looking too shabby and the offense held their own against a Cris Jonesless Chiefs defense. It's going to be a dog fight in this one but I'll take Goff over Geno. Lions money line is what I'm going with.
Colts @ Texans
Who really cares about this one to be honest. I mean it's cool to see the two rookies quarterbacks but besides that it's going to be some bad football with some dominating defensive play. Flip of a coin here let's go with the Colts.
Bears @ Bucs
This may be the game Fields breaks out with his new weapons. Bucs defense is middle of the pack and he's coming off an embarrassing outing against the Packers. I'm guessing this will end up being a shoot out between the Mayfield and Fields. Bears +3 looks good to me but I might end up going Bears straight up.
Giants @ Cardinals
Daniel Jones redemption tour starts this week with the laughable Cardinals defense. Giants -4.5 is the move here but if you want a lock go with Giants mL. Brian Daboll will get these guys to bounce back against the future beholder of the number one overall pick.
49ers @ Rams

CMAC is going to run all over this defense. Now they shut Walker down last week but he's no McCaffrey. Along with the fact he doesn't have Kyle Shanahan calling the plays. Kupp will be out for this one and I'm sure the 49ers defense won't allow these young receivers to get anything going. 49er money line here just because it's a divisional game and it could get weird.
Jets @ Cowboys
Now this is the one everyone is going to get wrong. Besides me lol. The New York Jets will beat the Dallas Cowboys while picking off Dak two or more times. I think this team is trying to prove they can still compete without their star qb. The Cowboys defense was lights out last game but the Jets come into this with a defensive gem of their own. They shut down Josh Allen and Prescott isn't half the quarterback he is. Plus his weapons are far inferior compared to Allen's. Going to be a good game but I have a feeling this is due for an upset.
Commanders @ Broncos
Tough game here. Two subpar teams that will be two games out of the wild card chase at the end of the year. I'm going with Commander +3.5. Going to be a field goal game so this makes sense.
Dolphins @ Patriots
Tua is looking good here but honestly Tyreek Hill is looking u stoppable. I always forget how explosive this guy is. I think this is another 28 point or more game for Miami. The real question is if the Patriots can keep up. They looked good last game and the fact that they will be going against this beat up Miami defense. They might be up to the challenge but will probably come short knowing. Mac Jones. I'm going Miami money line here.
Saints @ Panthers
Two teams in the worst division in football going at it here. Bryce Young didn't look to good in his first start and it's not getting any easier against this Saints defense. I'm riding with Dereck Car in this one. He is coming off a solid game against the Titans. If the Saints can be a little more efficient when they get over the 50 yard line they should beat the Panthers comfortably.
Browns @ Steelers
Ole massage Watson had himself an ok game in the win against the Bengals. Don't think it's going to be very different in this one. The Steelers have a decent defense. If they were healthy they would be a force to be reckond with. That won't happen this week so it's going to be a toss up for the victor of this game. If Steeler -3.5 is available I think that's a great play.
